Answered Task History is Disabled

I've created several tasks that sync several folders to various locations.  All of these tasks run fine.  However, none of them (in fact none of the tasks that I have looked at) log any history entries.  On the "History" tab for each of the them, it says "History (disabled)".  How does one enable history tracking for the tasks that one creates in the system?

Are you speaking of tasks in the Task Scheduler? If so look at the window at the right under "Actions" and you will see an entry to enable all task history.

This is a Two-Fur, I was looking for the same answer!  I can't believe I missed that either, wonder why it defaults to disabled?

Ah, but must you enable history for *all* tasks? What if I just want to enable history for one or more selected tasks? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe you can enable history for only selected tasks.

It defaults to disabled because display of the history data is very slow - I bet...

How does one enable history tracking for the tasks that one creates...

A.) In the left column you must highlight the root "Task Scheduler (local)".
B.) in the center column, there is no task list where you can select task (s).
C.) In the right column there is only one (1) History option: "Enable All Tasks History".

Ah, but this could make History a suitably interactive and dynamic diagnostic tool, which we might guess it is. ;o)

You (and whoever) forgot something... What's happening in the right column?
