Monday, May 07, 2012 2:48 AMhi i have a homebuilt comp stats are mv=gigabyte ga-890gpa-ud3h procesor amd sept 3300 black 3 8 gigs ddr3 nvidia zotac forestorm 9800gt. not that all that matters this is a hard drive problem i believe for some reason my os is installed on my 3 tb seagate baracuda hd, while this is what i wanted i cannot extend the partition or create another one. the space says unallocated and i cannot seem to access it even in cmd. this may be of help my drive seems to be set to slave in bios and i cannot change that. and i dont know why. win 7 automatically put it that way durring installation. i really hope im not looking at an fdisk to fix this as i have the beyond 2tb drivers installed. i am not an amature user. ive never had this problem before though this is a new configuration of hardware for me atm. i almost want to go back to my asus board but the uhd is great for oclocking, can any one help me reclaim this space on my primary drive?

Hi,
Could you please make a screen shot for me to clarify the issue?
That seems hardware problem and I suggest to contact your PC manufacturer for further help.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Some motherboards don't support 3tb hard drives. Here is a link to give you some info. http://www.pcworld.com/article/235088/everything_you_need_to_know_about_3tb_hard_drives.html
Also have you tried a free partition manager to see if that helps? Here is a link to one.
You my also need a bios update for the motherboard.
