Hi,This problem occurs if you migrate a domain user profile via WET. You should create the domain account on the new computer before you use Windows Easy Transfer.Hope that helpsWilliam Tan

What a stupid answer! Why can't you just answer the question. If that stupid message that comes up was understood, then you wouldn't have been asked. What do you mean "create the domain account on the new computer"? Both computers get online the same way. So I have no idea what this means.
I'm so tired of answers like this when people are trying to find help from microsoft.

I had the same problem. In my case, I got around it by deselecting all IIS APPPOOL stuff.Hong

Friday, January 11, 2013 4:11 PMI figured out that any profile that you want to transfer on the new machine had to log into that new machine so that their domain account was now cached on that machine (don't ask me why). I was trying to transfer several profiles over to the new machine, but unless the new machine was on the domain and that user had logged in at least once on the new machine with their domain account, EWT could not log into the domain for that account. I hope it all makes sense, and could help you with the error message.
