I have read that the SB Audigy SE is compatible with Windows 7 via a Windows Update but I am unable to connect to WU for some reason. I have also tried my onboard Sigma Tel HD audio with no luck. So I have 3 problems in one... Can't get to WU and do not have audio. Any suggestions?

    System Specs:

    Dell XPS 410
Dual Boot Vista & Windows 7
CPU - Intel Q6600 Quad Core
    RAM - 4 GB DDR2 PC 5300
HDD - Seagate SATA II 250 GB
Video - XFX 7600 GT XXX Edition
Audio - SB Audigy SE & Sigma Tel HD Audio
    Monitor - Acer P201W & 50" LG Plasma

If Windows Update fails to find drivers, I always recommend trying the drivers originally made for Vista. The device API hasn't changed drastically like it did from XP to Vista, so there should be very minimal compatibility issues. You may have to run the installer in Compatibility mode, but that isn't always needed.

Correct. The Vista driver for the SB Audigy SE version works and so does the 5.1 speaker setting and the Audio Console. The rest of the package such as EAX, Device Control, and Speaker Settings does not work but was installed. Dunno why they install in Windows 7 but will not install in Vista, but I have 5.1 sound.
