Corsair 16 GB USB stick not recognized
Corsair 16 GB USB stick not recognized
I have a Sony VGN-FZ320E laptop. I have installed Windows 7 Home Premium. My Corsair 16 GB "Flash Survivor Memory Drive" does not show up as a drive in Windows Explorer.
In the Device Manager it shows up under "Disk Drives" as "Corsair UFD USB Device".
In Disk Management it shows up as "Disk 1 - Removable - 15.00 GB - Online". If I right-click it there and select Format, Properties, etc. I get an error message that the "Disk Management console view is not up-to-date..."
My USB disk drives work fine.
Ideas?

- Hi,
Can other USB drives be detected in Windows Explorer? Can it be detected on other computers? Please check if the flash drive is assigned with a letter in Disk Management, you can assign it with a new letter and then reflash the Disk Management to see if it works. To do this, please refer to the following steps:
1.right click on the particular partition.
2.choose Change Drive Letter and Paths.
3.assign a system available drive to the partition.
4.click OK.
5.press F5 to reflash the apperance.
6.open Windows Explorer to see if it is recognized.
Best Regards

- Hello,
I have exact same issue with Windows-7 Professional recognizing Corsair 16gig Voyager USB Flash drive. All other drives such s ScanDisk and Sony are recognized without problems. Also, it is not possible to go through steps 1 through 6 because drive is recognized for 2-3 seconds then disappears, to only reappear few seconds later. Thus appearing/disappearing continuously without getting properly recognized. I have conneted with Corsair, only to be reverted back to Microsoft for correct drives for WIndows-7.
P.S. THis same Corsair 16gig Voyager Flash workes perfectly fine with Windows XP-32 and XP-64
