    Hi,

I suggest you refer to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers, double click your printer and double click Adjust print options. You may check if there are any options to adjust the paper.

If it still cannot work, you may try to adjust the printer to print directly.

    1. Please click "Start", type "printers" (without quotation marks) and click the item displayed in the search results.

    2. Right click on the current printer and click "Properties".

    3. Enable an option named "Print directly to the printer". Usually, this option can be found on the "Advanced" page. However, this may be different according to the printer.

Please open Notepad or Word and check if the printer works properly now.

If the issue persists, you can also refer to the following link to clear the previous printer driver and reinstall the printer.

Here is the driver download link for your printer.

    Hi Andre,

I have the same printer and am able to print from Windows7 (32-bit & 64bit editions ) via both the ethernet and when connected directly via USB without error.

In my case I am using the default Windows7 provided driver for the printer so if you have upgraded to Windows7 it may be that another driver version is in use and causing a problem.

Other than that, I can see that the error log you have posted relates to printing a Word 2007 (.docx) formatted file. Does the printing issue occur when printing other items (printer test page from printer properties, plain text from notepad, rich text from Wordpad, text only in a standard font from Word etc)?

If you have the Microsoft Office Document Image Writer or the Windows XPS printer installed you could try printing to that to see if output is created (in file form) which would also help determine if the problem is specific to the HP or rather to your Windows printer sub-system.

As ever with these sorts of problems it's a case of process and elimintation so eliminate all big things first such as the printer itself and you'll soon get the cause.

    Good luck!

    David

Thank you for your reply, David.

I should have write, that I'm using a not upgraded Version of Windows 7 on both PCs, the printer doesn
t work. At my tower the OS Windows 7 Ultimate and on my laptop Windows 7 Professional (both 64bit) is running.
The error occures at the connection over ethernet and also over USB.
At my tower, I have the latest drivers from the HP Support page installed. On the laptop I tried to use the printer with the drivers, distributed by Windows Update.
