i am connecting to internet via e-con mc8000u-s usb dsl modem on windows xp.i tried windows 7 but it does not recognize the driver for this modem. i tried compabilaty issues on it but still doesnt works so i cannot go online. i cannot find the manifacturer anywhere on the internet . is there anything to be done to fix this issue on windows 7 or do i have to get in thouch with the manifacturer ?

Yes, you need to find the manufacturer for that device. If you cannot find them on the internet check with the place where you purchased the DSL Modem, they should be able to direct you.
