I have just installed an Epson BW305FW plus on my PC running Windows 7 64 bit. It doesn't work.
Although the printer window says the devise is ready to run, when I try to print nothing comes to the printer queue, the ink levels are grey on the Printer Preferences, and if I try to run Status Manager from the printer software it says Communications Error.
I have tested the USB cable on another Epson printer wiuth a different compouter, and it's fine. The PC usb port is also fine. The printer port is virtual port USB0001. The printer works when installed on my other PCF, running XP. The printer also prints a test page when instructed from the printer keypad.
I didn't install the fax option for the printer, but otherwise the installation seemed normal. It seemed to update the driver as I installed.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Would you reveal the full truth? Response of Epson is as follows:
Your search for BW305FW did not return any results.

Sorry you've been wasting your time: I hadn't realised that Epson use different names for US and European products - or maybe this site is only for US citizens? I hadn't realised that, either.
You will see a guide to the printer I'm talking about from the Epson UK store.
But you really don't have to spend any more time on this.

If the problem persists, I suggest you contact Epson Support and ask for assistance.
