    Ran Avast antivirus

It put system volume information restore in virus chest

    I then had no sound

It would not let me restore

Was instructed to go to safe mode & reinstall Avast

Now all virus chest info is gone

When I click Creative Play Center 2 my computer shuts down.

When I click SB Audigy my computer shuts down.

    Can I fix this ?

    Hi,

You may repair your system by performing system restore.(control panel->Backup and Restore)

And then you’d better scan system with Microsoft Security Essentials and remove malware in time.

    Microsoft Security Essentials

    Hello

System volume information_restore was put in virus chest and was lost with sound.

System volume information_ restore was found with a search but was blue colored & not accessable.

I tried running system restore and it was not able to restore to numerous earlier dates.

Can I fix this ?   Thank You

To reinstall audio card driver and check it again.  If the issue persists, you could perform In-Place upgrade to repair your system.

    Hi,

To download and install the driver from the manufacture website, or contact computer manufacuter for assistance. I suggest you to updage motherboard driver.  You may check the brand and model of your audio card in Device Manager.
