      I recently upgraded my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ455E with fresh Complete install of Windows 7.  Now the Motion Eye built in webcam does not work.  Downloading the origional Webcam utility is not compatible with Windows 7.  What can I do to make my webcam work?

      Hello,

      Sony Vaio VGN-FZ455E only supports Windows Vista. Its Webcam        is from Ricoh. Try to install the driver in Windows Vista compatible mode:

      1. Right-click the exe. file to launch the driver installation program and choose Properties.
      2. Under the Compatibility tab, please check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows Visa.
      3. Click OK to save the settings.
      4. Right click exe file and choose run as administrator.

      If this does not work, you have to wait for the new driver for windows 7 from Sony or use a external webcam.
