Monitor turning back on while computer still in sleep state

I am running Windows 7 Professional, using an AMD FirePro V4900 graphics card, and I have a 3-monitor setup:
1. Dell 2007FP 20" 1600x1200 resolution, VGA, set as the primary monitor, labeled as #3 by video card port, left monitor in physical setup.
2. Dell U3011 30" 2560x1600 resolution, DP, labeled as #1 by video card port, center monitor in physical setup.
3. Dell U3011 30" 2560x1600 resolution, DP, labeled as #2 by video card port, right monitor in physical setup.
My problem is this:
Every day when I leave the office, I put the computer into the sleep state. This automatically puts all of my monitors into sleep mode as well. But sometimes, when I come in in the morning, the right monitor is out of sleep mode. I'm not sure how long it has been awake, but even though the screen is black (because the computer is still asleep it's not sending a video signal to the monitor), it's still illuminated and adding wear to the display. When I move my mouse, the computer wakes as it is supposed to and my other two monitors turn on as they're supposed to (the right one is already on, of course).
How do I ensure that all monitors always remain in sleep mode until the computer is taken out of sleep state? Thanks!

There is a setting either in your system BIOS or on the video card affecting this.
You need to consult the documentation for the motherboard and the video card.
If you cannot find the answer in the documentation, then you need to contact the Technical Support of the motherboard and the video card.

Rick,
Thanks for the reply. Can you be more specific? You are certain that it's a setting in my BIOS or my video card, but why would there be a setting to make only one of the monitors randomly awaken only some of the time. What kind of setting/switch am I looking for here? Thanks.

Without doing a lot of research, I cannot tell you what to look for. Perhaps the one monitor has a peculiarity causing it to wake.
I don't believe Windows is the culprit because to the best of my knowledge Windows cannot wake only 1 of 3 monitors. Windows would wake all three.

Well, my thought was that perhaps Windows wasn't quite there yet with managing three monitors. It seems with Windows 7 that Microsoft only recently started figuring out issues with people using two monitors.
I've been through my GPU settings and all my displays are using the same configuration and set to the default anyway. I haven't changed anything in there. -
Wednesday, April 11, 2012 5:38 PMIt's hard to say for sure yet because this is an intermittent problem, but so far I have not experienced the issue since Windows Update installed an optional update for my onboard video graphics. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or not, but it seems weird that it should have any affect since I'm not using the onboard graphics. As I said, not enough time has passed to verify the problem has actually gone away yet. I'll post back if I see the problem return.

I experienced the issue again last night, only with my center monitor. However, that one I noticed never went into sleep mode when the computer went to sleep and I'm wondering if that's what the other one was doing before and I just didn't notice when I was leaving. I stayed late last night, so it was dark when I turned out the lights and I saw it.
So it appears the issue is the monitors aren't all always going into sleep state, rather than waking up from sleep state as originally posted. And since it's not always the same monitor, I suspect it's probably not two defective monitors but that it has more to do with Windows not always sending the proper signal through to the monitors to shut them down when it goes to sleep.
If anyone has any other ideas for me to try to resolve the issue, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
FYI, even though I was dubious it would work, a CAD forum had me upgrade to the latest video card drivers to try and solve an unrelated problem (that didn't work, but I ultimately figured out a solution). The point is, I have reinstalled my video drivers and they are on the latest release.
