I cant turn off my touchpad!!!! Its driving me crazy!!!!
- Okay i have a toshiba satellite A135-S2266 laptop.. i have have had vista home basic for a while and i just recently upgraded to windows 7... i love it except the fact that i cant figure out how to turn off this stupid touch pad and i keep accidentally moving and dragging files into different folders and such... as you can imagine this is very annoying as i am not a gentle person... the FN+ F9 trick is not working and i am close to throwing this thing thru the window (no pun intended)... please help, i am new here but i have found solutions here before just browsing thru others comments... thanks

- You need to install the synaptics drivers for your touchpad. You can find the drivers from:1. Toshiba website2. Synaptics website3. Update your Windows 7. (I loved this about Windows 7, it automatically detected and installed my synaptics drivers)Once that is done, you can to control panel and then click on "mouse". The last tab in that will be the tab for synaptic touchpad. In there you will find the option you are looking for.
