OK, you might say you need to install new drivers however, I have tried that 4 times now I have even used driver sweeper and installed them again.
It gives you a option to go online when the crash message comes up, I press it and wait about 2 minutes and nothing happens. I am really close to down grading back to vista because windows 7 is really getting on my nervs. If anyone knows how to solve this issue please say.- Moved byRonnie VernonMVP, ModeratorSaturday, November 07, 2009 11:11 AMFocus (From:Windows 7 Miscellaneous)

MFC42U.DLL Microsoft VisualC++ Product Version 6.06.400I choose not to get Catalyst. You could try
1) uninstalling catalyst from control panel. Restart, & in
2) Device Manager, RightClick ATI, select uninstall & delete driver if option is given. Without internet connect, Restart PC until you only have VGA/non Aero.
3) With internet enabled try Windows update which should get you the driver you need. If not get it from 64 Bit AMD/ATI selection. You can choose only to get driver here though Catalyst is used for install I think.Other:
1) in Start menu, choose Run entering Dxdiag. This will show Audio, Video problems & give Run in 64 bit option.
2) in black accessories Command Prompt, Run >sfc/scannow
3) hopefully Device sees your Monitor correctly, & you are not using multiple to begin withYou do not want to go back to Vista. Windows 7 is a great improvement over Vista and it will get better over time. Oblivion runs better in Windows 7 32Bit and best in 64Bit.
