Not only did I lose a lot of files that the instructions said I wouldn't but the system does not recognize my cd/dvd burner and that is after several service packs from Toshiba and Microsoft. How can I get my Windows 7 home premium OA back? I have a product key

You'd have to check the instructions that came with your laptop for recovery back to Windows 7...... either a recovery disc had been provided or there is a recovery partition that you will have to boot too with a special key command (such as F8) during startup of the computer. Again, you'd need to view your manual or contact Toshiba support.Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.
