Getting rid of roaming profiles

Hello everyone. We're currently using XP but moving to 7 very quickly, and they want to eliminate roaming profiles before we go to Windows 7. What's the proper way to eliminate roaming profiles, just go into each AD account and remove the profile path pointing to the server?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask in, if a moderator could move it to the proper one I'd appreciate that, I wasn't sure where to ask this exactly.

Open you local GPO using MMC or using the GPO editor in your AD. Then enable “Only allow local user profiles” in Computer Config -> Administrative Templates -> System -> User Profiles

so I either need to use that group policy or do it the way I said above manually?
I didn't post to the group policy forum since group policy wasnt involved at all in my setup

Hi,
If you want to disable roaming profiles in you domain environment, the best choice is to use group policy.
