I am running the evaluation copy of windows 2008 r2 on my test server at home (I am studting for my certifications) and need to install a working copy of professional windows 7. I have several pcs but they all have the home edition and will not join a server. Will there be any issues if I run both evaluation copies.

There should not be any issues if you use the evaluation copy of Windows 7 Enterprise to connect to the evaulation copy of WS 2008 R2.  You wil, of course, have to install Win 7 on a differnt computer, altjhough you might be able to use VM software to create a virtual machine.  My personal preference for VM software is VMware Player because I have found it to have more flexibility than Virtualbox or any of the Microsoft VM software.

No problem at all.  The eval versions are exactly the same as the retails version with the exception they are time based.

    Hi,

It does not have any difference between Evaluation Copy and Retails version. You have 10 days to activate the product. If not activated within 10 days, the system will shut down once every hour until activated.
