Problem installing KB2574819 (Windows 7 64bits), Windows Readiness Tool reported problem with 12 files. I was able to fix 10 files from downing the update package, extract the files, and replaced the files in Windows\Servicing\Packages. After fixing the 10 files, I was able to manually install KB2574819. The problem is the Readines Tool log still shows two corrupt files.

(f) CBS Catalog Corrupt 0x800B0100 servicing\Packages\Package_for_KB2574819~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.7.catThe requirement for this update is Windows 7 with SP1. I was not able to find these files in Windows6.1-KB2574819-x64.msu and in the extracted cab files. The update history shows this update was successfully installed but I was not able to find it in the list of installed updates so now I can't uninstall it. When I try to re-install the update, it said it is already installed. I tried Windows fixit but it was unable to find any problem. When I open these two files in notepad, the files are blank. In the update package, there are two files with similar names except for _SP1 after KB2574819.
The only thing I can think of is to find another computer and look for these two files.

I answered my own question, I was able to find the two files on another Windows 7 computer. Now it was able to complete the install and shows up as an installed update. But strange that I couldn't find the files in the update file I downloaded.- Marked As Answer by The Kind Monday, November 12, 2012 9:15 PM
