Activating OEM license key.

I use Norton Ghost to do win 7 deployment but this problem is not about Norton Ghost.
Suppose I have a PC and it has win 7 OEM license.
I cannot use OEM win 7 installation because it is not customized.
So I customize win 7 image and deploy it using Norton ghost.
After deployment, I try to activate this image using OEM license key but I would need to make a call to MS which can take 4-5 days before I can finally activate.
The solution I use to shorten the time to activate is to use volume license key to activate.
Is it possible to automatically activate win 7 with MS server using OEM license key?

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 5:19 AMModerator You cannot use a Windows 7 OEM product key with a Windows 7 image created using a Volume License Windows 7 DVD. You would have to use a Windows 7 OEM DVD.
