    Hi All

I have used the link below to hide  favorites from the windows explorer navigation pane which work fine, but in 'some' applications notable office applications and IE, when a user saves a document using 'save as' the favorites can still be seen. If possible I would like to hide  there also

    Hi,

You need to modify the registry to remove the Favorites.

    1. Click Start -> type regedit in the search box -> Press Enter
    2. Navigate to [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{323CA680-C24D-4099-B94D-446DD2D7249E}\ShellFolder]
    3. Right click ShellFolder, select export and save on desktop for backup. If you want to restore the Favorites, you can import this backup key.
    4. Right click ShellFolder, select permission. Select Administrators and check Full Control option.
    5. In the right pane, double click Attributes value, change its data to a9400100. Then restart the computer to check the result.

    Hi Wayne

Is this a 32bit Version of MS Office running on a 64bit Windows?

Then do the same change for:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{323CA680-C24D-4099-B94D-446DD2D7249E}\ShellFolder\Attributes
