With the version of Media Center for XP.
When one brought up the TV guide and then selected a specific channel, it showed what was on for the various times.  There were arrows at the top of the guide which allowed one to change the channel.  Also the channel could be change using the left / right selection buttons on the media  remotr (doesn't work in 7).  These appear to be deleted with the windows 7 version   Is there another way to change the channel directly from the channel/Time slot display??   Channel UP/down  scroll the time not the channel  (this is the same as XP)

Double click on the program in the guide to change to that channel.

I don't believe you understand the problem.   After you bring up the tv guide and select a specific CHANNEL the program for the next time slots are displayed.    IN XP and  aperar to be gone in Windows 7 was the ability to change the channel.

Okay, I see what you mean. I believe this was changed when Vista was released and you can no longer change channels from that screen.

In my opinion, it is an improvement but that doesn't mean it will do all the same things.

I never used that option so I would not have missed it.

removing a usefull feature and saying that is the way it is, is certainly not an answer!!!
How does one request this feature be returned?

Why the attitude? I didn't remove the feature. I only pointed out that Microsoft changed that back when they introduced Vista.
