AnswerRe-using Program Product Keys For Re-builds

After several iterations of OS changes many of my programs are not reloading due to excessive use of the same product key.  Some programs have "de-activate" and "activate" options in the tools and options menus. Some have live support that will reset it if you call them and tell then you had to reload the OS.  What about the ones that do not have live support?  Does unindtalling a program via the control panel usually free up the product key so it can be used again to re-install it?

I think that your question should be answered by the software vendor better. As I know, like Windows OS, most applications should be reactivated on the same computer without changing the main hardware device for many times. If you would like to install it on another computer, you need to make a phone call to its customer service to transfer the license. Thanks for your time and understanding!

I went from Vista to Win 7 RC, but MS Money Plus Small Business won't install again BS it says the key has exceeded use allowed.   You no longer have live support fot this program.  We also own MOney Plus.  That isntalls fine but we really want the small business program on this machine.
I have the small business on a different machine (allowed two) and I was wondering if uninstalling it frm that machine would then allow me to install it on the Win 7 RC machine.?.. , more importantly, will I encounter this same problem again when I change to the normal retail version of Win 7?

    Hello Crgildart,

If the license allows you to activate products twice, I don’t think that you would encounter problems in the activation process. If any problem occurs, you might follow the webpage below to contact Microsoft Customer Service or supports directly.
