I have upgraded my sytem from Vista to Windows 7. My DVD player / burner will not install. The device manager recognizes the installation but shows it in yellow and not working. I have tried the troubleshooting fix in the Control Panel under Hardware & Sound, it sees the problem but cannot fix it. I have also tried to plug in a USB external DVD unit and I have the exact same problem. Thge system says it is a driver problem. Help!! Any Ideas?

Visit the forums, or support options of the device manufacturer.

Otherwise what model is it and product number?

What's the exact error message you get (as per the device manager yellow driver error). If you remove the device (disable then uninstall) and reconnect it (and reboot) does an add new hardware wizard appear? What is the result of running the wizard?
