Hi
Looking for help - I have a samsung tv that is connected (wired) to my router. I used to be able to play to this in media player but I have recently switched my router and since then it says no media device found. I have tested my tv network connection and on my network map I can see my TV and my pc - both have mac addresses and both have a ipv4 ip address. I am sure it is something simple but any assistance would be much appreciated!

Hi,
Please try to check if you could see TV device in Network; if you can, right click the device (TV in this case) and then select Media streaming options from the shortcut menu that displays.
Then set it allow to access the shared media.
Hope it helps.

Pretty Much very similar problem except that me I was using the Samsung dongle and it was working, I could see the PC on the TV and Vice-versa but i did not like the transfer speed so i brought it back to the store.... Since then i've been using usb for playing media... Now I have a new setup with a router and the TV is connected directly to the router.... but although I see the TV with corresponding IP address on the routing map of Windows 7, I do not see it in network devices and it does not show up in Media Player as possible streaming device eventhough all the right streaming options are checked.... And what puzzles me is that it works with "Samsung PC share Manager" and another DLNA software.... But I would like it to work with Media Player the way it did with the dongle, because it's much simpler and reliable.... Any input would be greatly appreciated. If all fails I will try the dongle again to see if it works again, maybe something got modified....
Thank you
Marc

Thank you for your response..... Yes UPNP is enabled as well as DLNA on the router..... It is a SAGEMCOM 2864 Router provided by Bell that supplies my connection for all my services (internet, phone, TV) and my LED TV is a UN55C6300SF from Samsung...
I will pickup a dongle tonight just to test.....
But in the mean time if you have any suggestion it is gladly welcome...
Regards
