Unanswered BUG in RC: Subtitle Issue in MCE for HDD DVD's

There is a bug in MCE (Windows 7 RC) when subtitles are on for DVD's saved to a HDD.  It is intermittent between DVD's, but when it does happen on a DVD the bug appears consistently.  Basically the DVD playback hangs (image and sound freezes) and on any button press DVD playback restarts from the beginning.  How can this bug be raised please?

I too am finding that if I turn on subtitles (foreign language films) then randomly and repeatedly playback freezes leaving a still image. The PC and Media Center are still responsive, however any button press on the remote results in playback restarting from the beginning. If I do not turn on subtitles then the DVDs play through without issue. If I use Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre to playback the DVDs instead then I can enable subtitles and they play through without issue.

I am actually using the RTM version of Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit RTM with nVidia WHQL drivers v190.62 (previously tried v190.38) the graphics card is a Geforce 8500GT.

Pretty poor if this bug has made it through to RTM.

I'm also experiencing this issue.. Even on a clean RTM re-install without any codec packs or filters. This is indeed frustrating.
Running 64bit version of Win7. HDD's play from HDD and the freezing picture+sound only appears when subtitles are on. Vista runs OK.
Hope this bug can be fixed asap.

I also axperience this problem. It is a pain in the ____, but i did not find any update or patch for it. Hope they fix this before the major release of Windows 7. Although the media center is very nice to use it would for me be a reason not to use this cause of this problem.

I was hoping this forum would have been useful in that Microsoft could have looked at outstanding issues and, at the very least commented.  It seems after raising this reproducible bug issue four months ago (in this thread and my initial one) that this forum is pretty worthless.  Especially now that I know I'm not the only person affected.

If Microsoft do visit this thread please take this in to consideration.  This kind of ambivalence towards such a problem is the difference between having MCE in the living room to losing out to other equipment such as PVR's/DVR's DVD combinations which only slightly do less than Media Center but which offer a stable function to those who are hard of hearing or those that have other language issues.  If you want marketing share is this world Media Center needs to get a whole lot more stable.

Not only have I regressed in functionality, not being able to use the video capture functionality with my ATI card in Media Center (not Microsoft's fault) now I can't watch my DVD's ripped to my HD in Windows 7 Media Center.  I am experiencing the same problem (even without DVD subtitles). Not sure why I upgraded my PRV to Windows 7 and may go back to Windows XP.  But hey, now my PVR looks like more Mac'ish, if that floats your boat.
