AnswerCan't setup TV in Windows Media Center

I was successfully running my ATI HDTV Wonder with the Windows 7 RC, which I had on a separate partition from Windows Vista.  I have the final version of Windows 7 Home Premium now, so I installed that over Windows Vista.  I can not set up the TV now.  It says that a Windows Media Center service is not running.  I have went into services and tried to enable the Windows Media Center Receiver Service.  It won't enable and gives me an error message.  I have provided the link to the screen shot here:

I also tried re-installing Windows 7, but I still get the same error.

I found a way to get Windows to start the service, but I'm not sure why it won't work the way it was.  In the Log On tab of the Windows Media Center Receiver Service and the Windows Media Center Scheduler Service, I have both set to Local System account.  When I had the error I had mentioned, it was set to Network Service.  Is changing this going to cause any problems?  Why can't I start the service with the Log On as Network Service?

Third party codecs can be individual installation package or included in third party media player. Most likely, they should be listed in Programs and features. We can remove them there.

Meanwhile, you can use start - run - msinfo32 and check Software Environment - Windows Error Report for ehRecvr.exe related error then rename the related dll file. You can also paste the error in the forum so that I'll see if it is safe to rename the file.

Hi rdunton, this issue may occur if you have installed third party codec package. You can temporarily remove them and then try to start the service and set to network service. If the error still occurs, you can try the following steps:

    1. Close all windows. Press WinKey + F, and expand Advanced Search.
    2. Select "Local Hard Drives" in the Location list, check "Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files", type "RAAC.dll" in the Name box.
    3. Click Search.
    4. If the file does exist, right-click it and rename it to RAACold.dll.
    5. Restart the computer and try to start the service again.

You can also check system information for any ehRecvr.exe related error.

    Hope this helps!

I don't think I have any third party codecs, but where would I look for them so I can remove them if they are present.
