WMP 12 will not sync to numerous MP3 devices OS- Windows 7 Home Premium upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium

Friday, December 30, 2011 6:40 AMWmp12 in Windows 7 Home Premium SP-1 will not sync to portable audio device. I have tried numerous brands inclusive of Creative, RCA, Coby, Craig, Samsung & Phillips. The main issue as I see it is that WMP 12 is not recognizing any of the devices. Checking in computer I've noticed some of the devices are intermittently noted by my PC (HP Pavilion a6460T CTO). They are never recognized by WMP. I've formulated about five sync lists with which theres little I can do since the audio devices are not being identified. I've attempted everything , updated every item in Device Manager. Ran multiple virus and malware scans. I have numerous hours in troubleshooting. I have transfered music onto USB Thumbdrives & Burnt Music CD's. Thanks in advance for your time and effort. Much Appreciated, Be Well, J.P.

For WMP to sync to an MP3 device, Windows first needs to properly recognize the device and it should stay connected continuously. It sounds like that isn't the case on your PC. Because this is more a hardware-related issue, I suggest that you repost in the Windows 7 Hardware Compatibility forum:
