windows media player

Monday, May 07, 2012 5:03 PMI'm running Windows 7, (64 bit), and I have activated Windows Media Player. When I try to rip a CD Media Player recognises the CD and plays it, however, the title and tracks are shown as unknown even though it is connected to the internet. The CD is ripped to my hard drive under My Music as an unknown album, however, it does not show up in the Media Player library and Media Player can't see it even the the file in in wma format. I have checked the settings and there does not seem to be anything wrong. Any ideas please

Hi Steveinbucks,
try to select all files in your album then Right click --> Properties --> Details --> in Albums -> add the album name

Before ripping, please right-click one of the tracks, select Find album info, search for the correct album and apply its info. Does that work?
Are you sure that the ripped WMA files are not listed in the library, not even under Unknown artist? You can try manually dragging the files from My Music into the library.
