    Hi,

Unable to access the LAN from my system having windows 7 OS installed. Checked in Network Sharing Center > gives me error message "The dependency service or group failed to start" and does not show the LAN active networks.

    Few more observations :
    -------------------------------
Laptop shows wireless connections with limited access
when connected to internet with ethernet cable > internet not working

Checked eventviewer > System Logs > gives me error message "The TCP/IP Protocol Driver Service failed to start due to following error : The system cannot find the file specified."

Checked under C:\Windows\System 32\ drivers : TCPIP.sys file is present . however ipsec.sys file is missing.

Please help with next steps to resolve the issue.

    Krutika

    Start with:

    sfc /scannow

If that doesn't work go to device manager

    click on view

    show hidden devices

non plug and play drivers, expend that

find "tcp/ip protocol driver" right click on it and uninstall.
