Hello everyone, I have recently run into an issue with ICS functionality. I use it mainly for getting the old model Xbox 360 onto the network, but for some reason the service has ceased functioning. Strange enough, I still see an Ethernet connection labeled as unidentified, but connections from the xbox do not link up. The event viewer has given me three entries:

(!) Error 10/3/2012 7:47:25 PM: The DHCP allocator has disabled itself on IP address 169.254.229.70, since the IP address is outside the 192.168.137.0/255.255.255.0 scope from which addresses are being allocated to DHCP clients. To enable the DHCP allocator on this IP address. change the scope to include IP address, or change the IP address to fall within the scope.

/!\ Warning 10/3/2012 7:47:24 PM:The ICS_IPV6 was unable to allocate [] bytes of memory. This may indicate that the system is low on virtual memory, or that the memory manager has encountered an internal error.

(!) Error 10/3/2012 7:47:21 PM The DNS proxy agent was unable to allocate 0 bytes of memory. This may indicate that the system is low on virtual memory, or that the memory manager has encountered an internal error.

All of these were sourced back to SharedAccess_NAT

Really hoping this isn't a hardware issue...

Care to share how you share the network between your xbox? If your ICS is depend on a pc or modem using lan, i would suggest you to get a router instead as nowsaday router are cheap

Laptop is connected via wireless to router. The Ethernet cable is just between the Xbox and the laptop. I have actually just created a network bridge between LAN and wireless. Works well, but I'd still like to get this resolved at some point. Thanks.

    Hi,

Your Xbox device and your laptop are not under the same sub-net. Actually, we share the wired network via laptop’s wireless NIC generally.

In your situation, use the network bridge is the better choice.
