Hi guys,
Ralink RT3070/Windows 7 64bit
Im hoping I can get some help here. I recently purchased 2 USB adapters which are Ralink RT3070 from amazon 2 of WiFi WIRELESS 11 N USB ADAPTER LAN INTERNET NETWORK DONGLE FOR PC LAPTOP 150Mbps
After trying many times with many different drivers I cannot get any of them to work. The installation goes fine, then clicking software icon trying to use device, no network shows up. Read instructions again and from what i can see the network should be recognised as soon as you open the software. Then further enabling you to continue configuring etc, but nothing.
I delete, unplug USB device reinstall with both drivers and the same thing, no network detected. Ive contacted the supplier who pointed me to what i guess they thought was the correct driver, but that I had already tried this driver to no avail.
Having read a few forums I have also tried to install on my sons desktop pc which runs XP professional but the driver software wont even install at all, which I guess tells me im using the wrong driver? Even tho thats the one the supplier recommended, which is supposed to be Windows 7 and XP compatible.
However im more concerned with being able to install on my laptop, which is:
Dell Inspiron 1750
2GB Ram
Windows 7 Home Edition 64bit Service pack 1
AVG latest free edition
Zonealarm latest free edition
Windows firewall off
Ive also disabled my inbuilt dell wireless g card to see if that was the problem, but it made no difference whether enabled or disabled.
I should point out that ive checked and double checked the Vmedia super hub and all is working correctly.
Ok.... Can you guys help? Do you know which driver to use? Am i doing something wrong? Do you need anymore info? Please help
Thanks guys

Perhaps the Compatibility forum is better suited for solution of your problem.
I would look into MS Compatibility List and try to find if the device is on the list. Similarly vendor's support/forum may be more suitable.

Hi,
After installing the USB adapter, please check if it is showed in Device Manager under Network Adapter. If so, then go to Network and Sharing Center, and enable adapter to check the result.
