Unanswered Network Share Appears Empty After Wake from Sleep

Over the past month I've been having intermittent issues when my W7 x64 PC wakes from sleep.  When I try and access certain shares on my WHS2011 machine they appear empty.  In particular \\whs2011\recorded tv is the problematic one.  Other shares like \\whs2011\music, for example, I have no problems seeing.  A reboot or waiting a few minutes solves the problem.  I'm able to access \\whs2011\recorded tv on my other PCs just fine when it goes missing.

This is an issue since it's my Media Center box.  Media Center cannot access my Recorded TV and will not repopulate the list until a reboot or until I remove/readd the share.

I've tried multiple NICs - everything is gigabit ethernet wired.

The issue showed up right around the time of the newest Rollup for WHS2011 - everything was working fine until early-mid December 2012.  I've removed and readded the connector software to no avail.

I've currently disabled sleep on my W7 HTPC and this solves the issue, but I'd really like to have it sleep when it's not doing anything.

Since this is my HTPC, it's very barebones in terms of software.  Essentially just MSE, Windows Firewall, and media browser.

    Hi,

First, I would like to verify whether this issue only occurred with this computer or all the client computers.

Meanwhile, please try to remap this share folder us commands:

    net use [driveletter]: /delete
    net use [driveletter]: \\server\share /user:[username] password /persistent:yes

You can also save this Notepad to a location with a name reconnect.bat to reconnect it.

For more information regarding the “net use” command, please refer:

    Technet Library - Net use

    Hope this helps.

The issue has only occurred with this client computer.

I don't have these network shares mapped to a drive currently - I access them using \\whs2011\Recorded TV, for example
