    Hi,

my Windows 7 (Pro, 64bit, SP1) client stops synchronizing offline files with error "access denied" for file "\\server\share\<username>\Documents\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-1091024714-3486480342-2394185873-500". The server is running Windows 2003 R2 SP2. The share holds group policy redirected folders.

The recycle bin is accessible locally on the server, but access through the network share with windows explorer results in "access denied". The smb network traffic shows me that the client does not try to open the file when I access it via windows explorer or when the synchronisation process is trying to access it. instead, there is only a call to the IPC$ share. OpLocks are enabled for smb1 on server and client, transparent caching is disabled. Background sync fails as well.

Can I prevent somehow the synchronisation process from trying to read the recycle bin in the documents folder?

    Regards,

    mykro
