Wireless won't reconnect in Windows 7

We use Windows to manage Wireless. But we noticed that Windows 7 laptops won't automatically reconnect to our corporate SSID if they were moved from one building to another, which is handled by a different controller. Windows XP laptops work fine. So we are wondering if we are missing a setting that was changed in Windows 7 for Wireless. As a workaround we turn the Wireless switch off and on, but would like to find a solution. Does anybody know what we could do to fix this?Thank you.

Is there any trace in Event logs? Is there any baloon message, or the laptops are quiet?

PS:I expect that all wireless drivers are up to date....

Hi Milos. There are no messages in the event logs. Wireless icon displays limited access. The problem is that ip adress stays the same after reconnect and will change only if wireless switch turned off/on. This behaviour is specific to all Windows 7 machines. Windows xp machines pick up new ip adress automatically.
PS:drivers are up-to-date
Thanks

Under wireless network properties, ensure the check box is check for the option of connect automatically when this network is in range

Hi,
I suggest you check the following:
1. Ensure that you created the Wireless Network Profile and select the “Start this connection automatically” check box.2. Make sure that the WLAN service is set as Automatic and started.
3. Update your wireless network card driver to the latest version.
4. Disable IPv6 on the wireless adapter to check the result.
Hope this helps

Hi Vincent,
I tried all of the above, but the issue is still there. Any other thoughts?
Thank you,

Hi Roman.
What happens when you release ip address?
Are you able to get the new IP from the other wireless controller?
Can you shorten the IP lease time?
