    I have a VPN tunnel setup between two netgear FVS318G vpn routers. I can remote desktop login from my Windows 7 Ultimate through the tunnel to a Windows 7 Ultimate machine but cannot setup any file shares. Netbios is enabled on both of the vpn endpoints. When I attempt to map a network drive, I cannot "see" the computer on the other end of the tunnel. I have tried to use both the computer name and its IP address. I have disabled the firewalls and anti-virus software on both machines during the test and that has not worked.

    Check that the networks on each end don't share the same address space.

    eg 192.168.0.0 / 192.168.1.0

    Also check the VPN settings on the routers are allowing netbios and broadcast traffic.
