    After reading microsoft's responce to the battery issue i am left a little disappointed.  Clearly this is an OS related issue.  They claim the new 'feature' of windows 7 detects problems with the battery that previous OSes could not.  its the, "this is a feature, not a bug." debacle all over again.  If this is truely the case, please let us knowof a work around to disable this 'feature'.  I will gladly take the risk of running out of juice before my laptop properly shuts down if it means i can get my 3 hour battery life back.  20 minute battery life seems a little ove protective.  my battery never failed me in vista, so this seems excessive for the OS to shut down in such a short amount of time.

    One of the workaround as posted here, is to execute the following command from an elevated command prompt:

    powercfg -setdcvalueindex SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_BATTERY BATACTIONCRIT 0
