For those cheap people out there (like me), who are using AVG Free Anti-virus with Windows 7, you will notice a BIG increase in browsing speed if you disable LinkScanner (Tools | Advanced | LinkScanner). For some reason, doing this seems to have sped up everything in Windows 7 although I have no idea why. Maybe it just seems that way, but browsing is CLEARLY faster.
