Getting weird event in my performance log. First I start up the computer around 10:30.. so the event 100 seems normal. But why is there an event 200 (shutdown) after my startup? Any idea?Oh ya, the focus in this post is about the shutdown event but not the boot perfomance itself. I know I am having a very slow boot time and I will figure it out later on. Now getting confused why is there a shutdown after the boot. Could it be a malware behavior.
thanks.

Hi,
This event indicates that the Windows operating system took an unusually long time to shut down, and this could be caused by non-Microsoft software applications or device drivers or by startup programs that load with the Windows operating system. You can try as my below suggestions:
Method 1:
Try booting the computer in safe mode and check if you can boot, here is the link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Method 2:
Try performing clean boot and check if it helps:

NOTE: After you have finished troubleshooting, make sure you put back the computer to normal startup mode as suggested in step7 from the above KB article.
Method 3:
If you are not able to boot the computer, then try performing startup repair and check if it helps:
