Slow loading of folder

Monday, May 11, 2009 4:13 PMI have a folder with about 80GB of media, however whenever I try to access that folder, it takes a long time to load the information (about 4-5mins). If I try to access another program during this time, the OS seizes up and nothing is accessible, sometimes this leads to a crash, at other times it's fine after a few minutes. I've never encountered this problem while on XP, and I've not used Vista, so I'm not sure what causes this problem.Does anyone else have this problem too?

Friday, May 15, 2009 8:40 AMHi, i have noticed a similar problem, however it only seems to do this at random times when i am trying to access a hard drive on the network. Sometimes it responds quickly and other times it takes a few min as if it is trying to search for the network. As you mentioned when it takes along time to respond, i am unable to load up other programs as well.
