"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the Blue Screen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".
Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OS's like XP to crash.
As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.
If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.
If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.
Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.
Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.
If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.
I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps

Hello there,
Thanks for the input but i would say i use HWMonitor and i constantly see temperatures fluctuating between 40 to 55 degree Celsius depending on activity usage.
Not sure if those are acceptable temperatures given i live in a temperate country where room temperatures are around 26-28 degree Celsius
Regards

Hi i update the driver , it was fine for a few days. But just now while i was playing CS GO, the crash happened again. Could it be a case of graphic card overheating?

Sunday, February 03, 2013 7:09 AMModeratorWhats the date on the "new" driver? If the new driver hasnt helped the next step is to monitor the temps. You can download cpu-z, and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the temps. If that doesnt do the trick next step is to examine the PSU.

Currently i have disconnected the vga cable and i m using the motherboard graphics instead. Could it be a chance of incompatibility of windows 7 enterprise(64 bit) which is the OS i m running on?
Thanks again

yes i have downloaded cpuz and gpuz.. they are running in the background. My date of the driver is 3/12/2012..the version is 310.70.Previously i installed a more updated driver 310.90 but the system will crash and roll back the driver to 310.70. However, the system still crashes at 310.70 occasionally.

Nice picture
From all the previous I suspect it was and is an issue with the video. That could be the driver, power, heat, the video card itself.
What were the temPs?
What PSu do you have?
What video card?

The strange thing is that once i changed from using the vga port of the graphic card to the hdmi port, the problem no longer occurs. Could it be the vga port problem?
Thanks
