Windows 7 explorer.exe is constantly crashing.

I use Windows 7 pro 64 bts. Immediately after booting, explorer.exe crashes and on trying to restart again crashes. Unable to use anything on desktop or task bar. Unable to access control panel. The error message says

Fault Module Name: msxml5.dllI tried to repair windows by booting via installation disk, but it says no recovery points set. Pl. help me.

with your repair disk pick the option to go to command prompt line and run
sfc /scannow

Hi,
Please test if the issue occur in Safe Mode. If not, please try ShellExView.
1. Download ShellExView v1.41 from the following link http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.zip

2. Right-click the "shexview.zip" file, select "Extract All", the Extraction Wizard will prompt.
3. Click Next, input "C:\ShellExView" (without the quotation marks) in the "Files will be extracted to this directory" textbox.
4. After finishing, open the "C:\ShellExView" folder and double-click the "shexview.exe" file. It will scan the registry for all the shell extensions.
5. Select all the non-Microsoft extensions in pink by press "Ctrl" in the keyboard.
6. Click the "Disable Selected Items" on the toolbar and click Yes.

I could solve the problem by uninstalling msxml3, msxml4 files and then by uninstalling MSOffice 2007. On half the way of uninstalling MSOffice2007, windows started behaving normally with explorer.exe working properly. But uninstallation could not be completed with a message "Could not complete uninstallation". Repeated attempts to uninstall MSOffice 2007 failed, but word, excel and powerpoint works without any problem. Then sfc/scannow was tried, but it stopped at 49%, Log file showed some of the corrupted files could not be repaired. Checkdisk showed about 1500 kb bad clusters. Now windows looks stable for the last two days. your comments please.

Thank you for your suggestions, but I did not tried ShellExView upto now. I wish to bring the following developments to your notice before that.

Can you boot into safe mode and try running sfc scannow again.
or....
try running
chkdsk /r /f
it will ask you to restart and say yes. after this gets done try running sfc scannow again.
