you require permission from system windows 7

HI,
I'm trying to delete a file from C:\windows\system32\drivers.
vsdatant.sys
But I keep getting "you require permission from system to make changes to this file"
I have logged in as local admin but still getting same error message.
I do have admin permission.
I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise 64Bits

1. You can delete files with SYSTEM permissions with the help of Command Prompt run Scheduled Task (interactively), but think TWICE before you do it.
2. You have not specified why you would like to delete file there. For removing drivers follow the procedure

update drivers from manufacture, also firmware, windows updates, java, flash, adobe, browser etc.
try running tdskiller on the system to see if the driver is infected or unsigned, select the delete option only.
please also run, combofix, malwarebytes, and mse,
ccleaner temp and reg as well
then run cmd in admin mode, type: sfc /scannow
if this fails do a system restore, then run sfc again, if this fails again, reinstall the driver, if that fails, back up drivers, applications, and data, and reinstall os.
use hirens bootable live cd to rip cd keys, and back up drivers.
update drivers from manufacture, also firmware, windows updates, java, flash, adobe, browser etc.
if at any time you cannot boot back into windows after a virus removal, push f8, and use the last known configuration mode. if that doesnt work, do f8 again at startup, then click disable auto restart on crash, then take write down bsod code and google it, do as followed.
if this is a video card, it may need replacing.

The version of check we are allowed to install has old driver, which is causing bsod on all the laptops which have checkpoint install on them. checkpopint told me that they have new driver which i can replace with existing driver.
I started my PC in SAFE MODE and logged in with ADMINISTRATOR account and delete the driver and copied new driver to the folder.
This worked for me. Thank you for all your help.

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 11:08 PMI've had that happen to me many many times. I'm not 100% sure why it's doing that. I found that if it won't let me delete a folder, I go into that folder and delete everything inside of it, it will then let me delete the whole thing.
