    Now I have problems with my excel files.

    I have windows 7 Pro 64 bit

    How can I reinstall the file I deleted?

    I tried to restore the system ...It will not restore to previous points.

    When I open up excel I get the following message.

    Compile errors in hidden modules: Tools

    This error usually occurs when the code is incompatible with earlier versions or platform or architecture of this application.

    What do I need to do to get the file back...

    This may not be the cause but it happened shortly after I deleted it

    You seem to know the name of the file, so search Bing for it.  Windows Update allows for you to manually apply updates for a situation like this.  Or run Windows update again and see if it detects the missing update.  It might just offer to reinstall it for you.
