    Firewall and BITS Missing

    We had a BC Miner Trojan which was removed however I was left with no Security Center, Firewall or BITS.

    I was able to add the Security Center WSCSVC back, however I still receive error 80070424 (“Firewall cannot change your settings”) when turning on the Firewall plus I cannot install any updates.

    I ran sfc /scannow with no errors found.

    I tried to do a net start BITS

    Received System Error 2 cannot find file specified

    Where can I find the entries for firewall and BITS

    BC miner is a symptom of zero access.Malwarebytes cannot remove it completely.

    Run it,the log gets generated on the desktop after scan finishes.It should detect zero access.

    Take help of malware removal forums like Bleeping computer and then fix your services using the method given here

    Firewall and BITS Missing

    This is a case where i clearly see that you must re-install the operating system... When a computer is infected and the antivirus detects one virus... there are more viruses that have not been detected, so you continue being infected. I know that´s the answer nobody want to read... :( If you want I could help you solving this specific problem, but it wouldn´t change nothing...

    You should format your computer and try avoid what you did to get infected.
