One Folder Skipped During Windows Backup
-
Wednesday, January 02, 2013 10:14 AMI encountered an error while backing up my Windows 7 system using the Windows Backup tool. It said that the backup had completed but some files had been skipped. Here are the cited messages: "The backup completed but some files were skipped.", and when I went and viewed the skipped files, I got this: "Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Podcasts. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002))". So only one folder was skipped. Later I tried to access the above-mentioned "Podcasts" folder, but I got an error message where the system said that there was no such directory. Why did the system try to backup a nonexistent folder in the first place?

Hi,
I suggest you manually create “Podcasts” folder under C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\ and see how it works.
