    I need help! For some reason my IE 8 locked my homepage. As a consequence I cannot change the homepage through the Internet Options within IE.
    I have tried to Unlock it by doing the below
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]
    "Homepage"=dword:00000000
    I couldn't find Internet Explorer\Control Panel under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft.
    Please, I really need to change my homepage as soon as possible. Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

    What homepage is using now and what happens when trying to change homepage?

    If resetting IE does not work, you can try the following tool:

    1. Please download the process analysis tool, HiJackThis, from the following link:

    2. Right click on the downloaded file and click "Run as administrator" to run HiJackThis.

    3. In the HiJackThis Window, click "Do a system scan only".

    Then, please fix the harmful items using it.
