    I'm looking for a tool that i used many years ago when we went through XP hardening. I was able to see what directory or where in the registry applications and services where having issues accessing.

    Does this sound familiar? If not, do you guys have suggestions of something that you may have used before?

    Try the alternative, namely the guide for Common Criteria. It is on your side to decide, what is hardening.

    Most of our hardening standards are set by our Security Team. This leaves little care of why things dont work and more of make them work with pages and pages of what they define.
