    RegSetKeySecurity Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

For Windows XP the RegSetKeySecurity was able to set the Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies Registry permissions to add the current user to this section enabling our software to write values here.  But now we see in Windows 7 that we are unable to do it after a Profile "roams".  When someone first logs in to a machine they are on this key with full control - if they stay on the same machine all the time they also will be ok.  But, if they move to another machine they are reduced to read only and a "Restricted" Group is added.

Has anyone found a way to adjust these securities after the profile roams?

    Thanks, Joe

    Hi,

The proper forum to address your issue should be MSDN forum.

    Thanks for your understanding.
