Answered Cannot Repair (Uninstall/Reinstall) WVPC XP Mode

    I ran into a problem with my XP Mode install.  In trying to correct it, I went as far as removing the Virtual PC install from Installed Updates/Microsoft Updates/Windows Virtual PC.  I also deleted the Virtual PC and XP Mode folders from within Program Files and AppData/Local/Microsoft.

    I can reinstall VPC just fine, but when I attempt to reinstall XP Mode, I get an error stating "Setup has detected that Windows XP Mode is already installed."

    There must be something else or some other way to completely remove XP Mode so that I can reinstall it properly.  But how??

    Hi,

    Go to Control Panel --- Programs and Features, find Windows XP Mode, right click on it and choose Uninstall.

    Then test to reinstall it again.
