Using a host-application wiht XP mode

Hello,
I've the following problem. We use an older DTP-application, that needs to run under XP Mode because it doesn't work poperly with Win 7 64bit. For image editing we use Photoshop and we would appreciate using this program in the native Win 7-Mode using the most oft the 16 GB memory of our workstations. So my question is: Can you open image files like jpg or tif that from the xp mode with photoshop in the win 7 mode? The workaround wiht a kind of shared folder is not the solution because we have to define the target-application (what means photoshop under win 7) in the "open with"-dialog in the explorer of the virtual xp-machine.
Thanks for good tipps and ideas
Markus

Sorry, there's no mechanism for an application in XP Mode to open afile on the host with a host application. You could possibly do itwith some custom programming, but it wouldn't be that easy.
