I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on a PC that doesn't have a parallel port on the motherboard.  I've installed a PCI parallel port card but this doesn't run use one of the standard address ranges.  Device Manager gives me IO Ranges of DC00 to DC07 and D880 to D887, Memory Ranges of FBEFF000 to FBEFFFFF and FBEFE000 to FBEFEFFF.  I need to be able to use this port to use an old device that only has Windows 98 drivers available but the printer port doesn't show up in the virtual machine settings.  Is there any way I can configure Virtual PC to use this printer port?

Don't think so.  VPC has never liked LPT ports outside of the standard range.  Have you tried a lpt to usb adapter?

    Hi,

As I know, LPT may be not supported by the version of Virtual PC in Windows 7. Meanwhile, to share a device with the Virtual PC, it should be recognized and it could work properly in the host system.

Thanks for the suggestions.  The USB adapter won't work as the device only has Windows 98 parallel port drivers.  The same goes for the sharing suggestion.

Hmmm, have you looked around for other parallel port cards?  I'd think there'd be one that would allow you some customization or let you use the standard ports?
